Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers

Telecommunication Engineers design, implement, and manage telecommunication systems, including networks and communication devices.

Areas of Work:

  • Telecommunication Companies: Designing and maintaining communication networks.
  • Information Technology (IT) Companies: Implementing data communication systems.
  • Government Agencies: Overseeing telecommunication infrastructure.
  • Research and Development: Innovating new communication technologies.

Academic Requirements:

  1. ACSEE Level:
    • Obtain a minimum of two principal-level passes, including Mathematics and Physics.
    • Meet the university’s specified total points requirement.
  2. Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Engineering (BSc Telecommunication Engineering):
    • Apply for admission to a recognized university offering the BSc Telecommunication Engineering program.
    • Successfully complete the program, covering communication systems, network design, and signal processing.
  3. Internship and Professional Development:
    • Gain practical experience through internships.
    • Pursue professional registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania.
