Architects, Town and Traffic Planners

Architects are responsible for designing and planning the construction of buildings and structures. They work on both aesthetic and functional aspects, considering the needs of the occupants and the surrounding environment.

Areas of Work:

  • Architectural Firms: Designing residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
  • Construction Companies: Overseeing the implementation of architectural plans.
  • Urban Planning Departments: Contributing to city planning and development.
  • Heritage Conservation: Preserving and restoring historical structures.

Academic Requirements:

  1. ACSEE Level:
    • Obtain a minimum of two principal-level passes.
    • Meet the university’s specified total points requirement.
  2. Bachelor of Architecture (BArch):
    • Apply for admission to a recognized university offering the BArch program.
    • Successfully complete the program, covering architectural design, history, and technology.
  3. Internship and Professional Development:
    • Complete internships to gain practical experience.

Pursue professional registration with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) of Tanzania.
